Summary

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform order filler and checker duties.

Schedule

2nd shift, Monday – Friday, eight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs. Primary schedule will be 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM, or similar. Training may occur other times.

Salary Range

$16.50 – $17.50 hourly.

Compensation commensurate with experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.
  • Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage and report quality variances.
  • Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
  • Perform picking duties efficiently to meet customer service standards.
  • Move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars or trailers.
  • Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment.
  • Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, put‑away, and load functions as required.
  • Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
  • Inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment daily.
  • Operate all equipment safely and efficiently following prescribed work methods.
  • Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee tight inventory control and security.
  • Assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Help maintain warehouse security.
  • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety, complying with OSHA and MSDS standards.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
  • Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstations are in good working order and free of safety hazards.
  • Wear all assigned personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
  • Ensure set‑up is complete for shift change.
  • Report all injuries, illnesses, and near misses to management immediately.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations as set forth by 4over.
Experience and Qualifications Education, Licenses, Certifications, and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
  • One to two years of previous forklift experience.
Critical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Problem‑solving and adaptability:
    Strong skills when faced with unexpected challenges such as machine malfunctions, material shortages, or errors in print quality.
  • Time management and efficiency:
    Ability to manage multiple print jobs simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without sacrificing quality.
  • Attention to detail:
    Precision in monitoring print jobs to meet required standards and detect small defects.
  • Communication skills:
    Ability to read and understand corporate policies and written or verbal instructions in English.
  • Strong foundational math skills, including basic operations.
  • Highly detail‑oriented, organized, and efficient in managing time, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks accurately.
