The manufacturing team member operates the extruder machine after feeding the raw material into the main hopper. Pack parts in shipping boxes accordingly and onto shipping pallets.

• Set up, operate and tend machines to saw and cut vinyl material.
• Install, change dies on machine according to production line changes.
• Assure that the machines have sufficient raw material.
• Monitor extruder temperature setups.
• Maintain line speed as requested.
• Form shipping boxes by hand.
• Inspect parts to assure that they are within specifications.
• Perform part adjustments as required.
• Collect, inspect and manually pack parts into the shipping box.
• Apply necessary part identification as required (i.e. UPC labels, carton labels, etc.).
• Stamp boxes accordingly, prepare shipping pallets.
• Support maintenance mechanic during the cleaning and change-over (part set-ups).
• Troubleshoot, maintain and make minor repairs to equipment.
• Complete Production Report.
• Operate Grinder as needed.

• Team oriented.
• Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions.

• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

• Lifting – 50% – Frequently lifting long boxes (8ft-10ft) 40 to 50 pounds each.
• Standing – 60% on concrete surface (rubber matting only in packing area).
• Walking – 40% on concrete surface 80 ft long walkways back and forth.
• Twisting – Occasionally 20% closing boxes; 10% at waist.
• Pushing – Occasionally 20% during repacking.
• Pulling – Occasionally 5% when rework is required.
• Handling – Continuously 80%.
• Speaking – 15% to supervisor and coworkers.
• Hearing – 100%.
• Memory – Frequently to set-up machine and count.
• Reasoning – Occasionally for troubleshooting.
• Visual – 100%.

• Basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and converting fractions into decimals.
• Ability to read a tape measure. Understanding of basic measuring techniques: camber, bow, squareness.

• Manufacturing facility with limited climate control.
• Occasionally exposed to fumes.
• Personal Protective Equipment required at all times: hard hat, work gloves, hearing protection and steel-toed shoes/boots.
• Controlled noise environment.
