PositionSummary
The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical systems to minimize downtime and support optimal production performance. This role involves both preventative maintenance and emergency repairs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance on motors, conveyor systems, pneumatic equipment, and production machinery.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Disassemble and reassemble machinery to repair or replace faulty components.
- Read and interpret diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and manuals to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
- Conduct tests to verify proper operation after repairs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Install new equipment as needed in compliance with company standards.
- Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical devices and identifying causes of failure.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and machine shop equipment.
- Toolbox and tools set:
- Combination wrenches (SAE up to 1").
- Socket set, and ratchets (SAE up to 1").
- Allen wrench set.
- Screwdriver set.
- Small pry bars.
- Torex bit set.
- Steel‑toed shoes.
- Prescription safety glasses (if glasses are required).
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems (preferred).
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in an industrial environment.
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Good communication skills for team collaboration and documentation.
- This role operates in an industrial plant setting and requires adherence to all safety protocols and use of PPE.
