Position Overview
An Assembler is responsible for production‑assembly of molded plastic parts. Work is highly repetitive; ability to follow a prescribed routine and steps is required. Operators run machines to perform specific machining processes, place parts on fixtures, deburr/gauge parts, and record process control data. Operators select programs, change fixtures, and run machines but are not permitted to program unless trained.
Essential Functions- Operate machines to produce molded plastic parts.
- Follow written work instructions and prepare container tickets.
- Use hand tools, scales, fixtures, assembly presses, and drill presses.
- Maintain mechanical skill and manual dexterity; ambidextrous operation is required for some tools.
- Stand and sit for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs (assistance provided when needed).
- Handle small to large parts requiring fine hand manipulation.
- Maintain full range of motion in hands, arms, legs, neck, and back.
- Use chemicals as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematics skills.
- Good written and verbal communication in English.
- Normal to high manual dexterity.
- Ability to use hand tools, machinery, and gauges.
- Will be qualified after a reasonable training period.
Typical manufacturing environment requiring PPE such as safety glasses with side shields, safety shoes/boots, and hearing protection. Non‑temperature controlled area with hot temperatures in summer. Exposure to ergonomic hazards, burns, cuts, heavy lifting, fumes, slippery floors, machine hazards, chemicals, and gases. Protective measures include machine guards, ergonomic stretch program, documented hazards, and PPE. Work requires routine walking, standing, and bending.
Pay Range$18.00 - $21.57 per hour.
