The Operator is responsible for plant production operations/maintenance and repair of all plant fixed equipment.
Job Responsibilities- Operate facility in a production mode, maintaining established efficiencies.
- Examine and diagnose operational problems, and repair according to accepted methods.
- Conduct preventative maintenance practices.
- Perform other related duties such as maintenance/repair and yard loading when needed.
- Understand, interpret, and execute instructions given in both verbal and written form.
- Schedule or call for repairs and parts.
- Recognize potentially hazardous situations.
- Adhere to all CEMEX, O.S.H.A., and M.S.H.A rules and regulations at all times.
- Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds.
- Meet or exceed company safety standards.
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in operating and maintaining an aggregate facility.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Welding and cutting experience highly preferred.
- Core understanding of conveyor belts, shaker screens, sand screws, and cyclone operations.
- Ability to work scheduled shift hours and be flexible with scheduling, overtime, and weekends.
- Read, write, and speak English.
- Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors.
- Handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Wear protective equipment while at the location.

- Perform all job functions: walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing to a significant degree.
- Exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently and up to 70 pounds occasionally.
- Talk and hear regularly to communicate with employees/visitors and function safely around heavy rolling equipment.
- Walk or stand for long periods of time.
