DIE MAKER Trainee

Die Making – Manufacturing of steel rule cutting dies produced to specific CAD designs using various types of manual and automated equipment. Assembly of components relevant to the cutting die product lines.

• Use various types of manual and automated equipment to manipulate materials.
• Read blueprints and CAD files to accurately assemble custom tools.
• Lift and handle wood, metal pieces and tooling.
• Clean and maintain department equipment.
• Use and understand safety equipment reflective of department.
• Cross‑train and support other production departments.
• Organize assigned tasks for completion alone or with help.
• Inform supervisor of problems or issues which affect the company’s ability to meet customer requirements.
• Manipulate CAD files.
• Department Quality Control.

• Stand for long periods and adapt to a changing work environment.
• Lift and handle wood, metal pieces and tooling.
• Perform repetitive motions and have strong finger dexterity.

• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read die prints.
• Basic metal working background.
