This is a full-time, on-site role for a Development Coordinator based in Miami, FL. The Development Coordinator will oversee the product development process from concept to sample approval, ensuring adherence to quality standards, styling guidelines, and production requirements. This role is responsible for managing technical specifications, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors, and ensuring clear communication throughout the development cycle.
The Coordinator will also stay updated on industry trends and support innovative product development initiatives.
- Identify and source fabrics, Pantones, trims, and sample references for upcoming collections.
- Collaborate with internal teams and factory vendors to develop innovative techniques and concept samples
. - Stay informed on industry trends
, including fabrics, prints, washes, and production methods.
- Review and approve trims, lab dips, print strike-offs, fabric quality, and samples against established standards.
- Evaluate development and pre-production samples, providing clear technical feedback for corrections and improvements.
- Ensure samples align with approved designs, specifications, and fit standards

- Review tech packs for accuracy, completeness, and production readiness.
- Organize, maintain, and update size charts and measurement standards across all product lines.
- Send finalized tech packs and approved artwork files to factory partners in a timely manner.
- Assist with maintaining tech packs and making minor updates or revisions as needed.
- Maintain consistent communication with factory partners via email, Whats App, and We Chat to ensure clarity on specifications, timelines, and expectations.
- Clearly communicate styling details, construction requirements, and quality standards to vendors.
- Coordinate and participate in factory and client meetings as needed to align on development objectives.
- Track development timelines and elevate risks or delays proactively.
- Support cross-functional teams to ensure development milestones align with production and launch schedules.
- Critical Thinker:
Identifies inconsistencies and potential issues before they become production problems. - Version Control:
Owns and maintains accurate, up-to-date versions of tech packs, specifications, and digital files. - Technical Expertise:
Strong understanding of screen printing, garment washes, fabrics, trims, and textile production. - Attention to Detail:
Ability to identify discrepancies in samples, specifications, measurements, and production details. - Problem Solving:
Proactively identifies production challenges and works collaboratively to develop solutions.
- Proven experience in product development, technical design, or a related role within the fashion or textile industry.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to review and interpret technical specifications, samples, tech packs, and quality standards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with internal teams and external vendors.
- Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, printing techniques, garment washes, and current industry trends.
- Proficiency with tech packs, digital files, and product development documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, Textile Science, or a related field preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
