Precision Concepts is seeking an experienced Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM) Process Technician to support our Miami manufacturing operation. In this hands‑on role, you will help maintain stable, efficient, and high‑quality production of plastic containers and components by setting up equipment, optimizing process parameters, troubleshooting technical issues, and partnering with Production and Quality team members.
This position is well suited for a technically skilled problem‑solver who is attentive to detail, comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, and committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
What You Will Do- Set up, start, and adjust extrusion blow molding equipment in accordance with product specifications and the production schedule, including required mold changes and tooling adjustments.
- Adjust extrusion, blow molding, and related process parameters to establish and maintain optimal operating conditions.
- Continuously monitor temperatures, pressures, cycle times, screw speed, and other critical process parameters.
- Optimize machine settings to improve process stability, productivity, and product quality while reducing scrap and rework.
- Maintain accurate records of process parameters, machine adjustments, and production changes.
- Verify that finished products meet dimensional, weight, wall-thickness, and visual‑quality specifications.
- Partner with the Quality team to investigate deviations, correct nonconforming conditions, and prevent recurring defects.
- Diagnose and correct process problems affecting production, equipment performance, or product quality, and provide technical support to production employees.
- Recommend continuous improvements to molds, equipment, tooling, and process parameters.
- Follow and reinforce safety requirements, use required personal protective equipment (PPE), maintain an organized work area, and promptly report hazards or critical equipment failures.
- Perform other duties related to the position as assigned.
- Technical diploma, certificate, associate degree, or equivalent technical training in mechanical technology, electromechanics, mechatronics, plastics technology, or a related field.
- Two to three years of hands‑on experience with plastics processing equipment, including extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, or thermoforming; extrusion blow molding experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience setting and adjusting plastics‑processing machine parameters and reading technical drawings, specifications, work instructions, and production documentation.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and thickness gauges.
- Working knowledge of common plastic materials, including PET, HDPE, and PP.
- Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs); familiarity with SQF requirements is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Technical troubleshooting and practical problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize work, remain effective under production pressure, and follow established procedures.
- Clear communication, teamwork, dependability, and a proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement.
