A leading global digital marketing business within the online gambling and sports betting sector is seeking a Head of Social Media to build, shape and scale its social media function across a portfolio of high‑profile international brands.
This is a newly created leadership role with significant influence across brand, acquisition, content, influencer marketing, lifecycle marketing and paid media. You'll be responsible for defining the social strategy, building the team structure and ensuring world‑class execution across multiple markets.
The OpportunityAs Head of Social Media, you'll own the strategic direction of organic social and influencer marketing activity, driving audience growth, engagement, brand awareness and commercial performance.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across Marketing, Content, SEO, CRM and Paid Media, you'll ensure social channels play a central role in customer acquisition, retention and revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and own the global social media strategy across multiple brands
- Build and lead a high‑performing social media team
- Define content pillars, platform strategies and brand voice guidelines
- Oversee execution across Meta, Tik Tok, X, You Tube and emerging platforms
- Lead influencer marketing strategy and creator partnerships
- Drive audience growth through innovative content and trend adoption
- Collaborate with Paid Media, SEO, Content and CRM teams to maximise performance
- Establish reporting frameworks and KPI measurement across all social initiatives
- Ensure all activity complies with regulatory and platform requirements
- Foster a data‑driven, test‑and‑learn culture
- 5+ years' experience leading social media, content or digital marketing functions
- Proven track record building and managing social media teams
- Strong experience across organic social and influencer marketing
- Deep understanding of content strategy, social platforms and audience growth
- Experience translating strategy into scalable operational execution
- Strong analytical and commercial mindset
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
- Experience with in iGaming, sports betting or highly adjacent sector
- High‑profile leadership position within a globally recognised digital marketing business
