Summary

The Senior PR & Communications Manager will lead Riviera Dining Group’s global communications strategy across its portfolio of brands, acting as the central authority on narrative, positioning, and media relations. This role is responsible for defining how RDG is seen, spoken about, and understood externally. It operates at the intersection of brand, culture, and business—ensuring that every communication moment reinforces RDG’s positioning as a leader in luxury hospitality and lifestyle.

The role centralizes PR and communications internally, ensuring that all external partners, collaborators, and contributors operate under a clear, unified, and elevated strategic direction. This is not a coordination role. This is a strategic leadership position responsible for shaping RDG’s external perception and ensuring PR becomes a true lever of brand equity, cultural relevance, and business growth.

Responsibilities
  • PR Strategy & Narrative Ownership
  • Define and own the overarching PR and communications strategy across all RDG brands
  • Translate brand positioning into clear, differentiated storylines for each concept
  • Identify and develop editorial angles beyond openings and events (culture, design, business, lifestyle)
  • Ensure consistency and elevation of brand voice across all external communications
  • External Partners & Communications Execution
  • Oversee and coordinate external partners, collaborators, and contributors engaged on PR and communications initiatives
  • Define clear briefs, priorities, and expectations to ensure alignment with brand positioning
  • Review, refine, and approve all external communications and materials prior to distribution
  • Ensure all external support operates selectively, efficiently, and at the level of RDG’s standards
  • Media Relations & Key Placements
  • Build and maintain direct relationships with top‑tier media, editors, and cultural platforms
  • Personally drive high‑value placements and features (national and international Tier
    1)
  • Oversee media hosting strategy (media dines, press previews, VIP experiences)
  • Curate guest lists aligned with brand positioning and strategic visibility goals
  • Brand Protection & Gatekeeping
  • Act as the final filter for all PR outputs (press releases, messaging, partnerships, collaborations)
  • Ensure all communications reflect RDG’s luxury standards, tone, and positioning
  • Protect brand integrity by declining misaligned opportunities or low‑value exposure
  • Cross‑Functional Alignment
  • Partner closely with marketing, social, programming, and operations teams to ensure alignment
  • Integrate PR into campaign planning from inception (not as a reactive function)
  • Ensure communications support key revenue‑driving moments and strategic activations
  • Reporting & Performance Tracking
  • Define and track KPIs: quality of placements, tier 1 coverage, share of voice, inbound opportunities
  • Provide monthly and quarterly reporting with clear insights and strategic recommendations
  • Continuously refine PR approach based on performance and market feedback
Requirements/Qualifications
  • 6–10+ years in PR, communications, or brand strategy
  • Experience in luxury hospitality, lifestyle, fashion, or high‑end consumer brands
  • Strong relationships with media (local, national, and ideally international)
  • Proven ability to secure high‑quality editorial placements
  • Strategic thinker with strong editorial instinct and cultural awareness
  • Highly detail‑oriented with strong standards for quality and brand alignment
Key Competencies
  • Strategic clarity and narrative development
  • Strong editorial judgment and cultural awareness
  • Ability to lead external collaborators with authority and precision
  • Executive‑level communication skills
  • High standards, discretion, and brand sensitivity
