Role Overview

Social Sharks Latin America (LATAM) Marketing Co‑op – full‑time, 40‑hour‑per‑week, July/August 2026 to December 2026. Minimum 3 days per week onsite in Bay Harbor Islands, Miami, FL; remaining days remote. No relocation or housing assistance.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and support community engagement strategies to grow and nurture LATAM online communities across social media, forums, and online groups.
  • Monitor and respond to community feedback, inquiries, and conversations in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, representing brand voice.
  • Stay up to date on LATAM social media trends, platform updates, and community management best practices.
  • Create and curate engaging, culturally relevant content including posts, polls, contests, and community activations.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (marketing, customer support, product) to share insights and advocate for LATAM audience needs.
  • Identify opportunities for user‑generated content, testimonials, and case studies within LATAM markets.
  • Assist the Social Media Team on special projects supporting regional marketing strategies.
  • Track and analyze community sentiment, engagement metrics, and performance to inform future strategies.
Qualifications
  • Current student in a bachelor’s, master’s program, or recent graduate (within the past year).
  • Full‑time 40‑hour schedule with minimum 3 days onsite in Miami.
  • Fluent Portuguese speaker (required).
  • Spanish proficiency (conversational+) is a strong plus.
  • Strong connection to Latin American culture (e.g., first/second‑generation Latino, Latin American Studies major).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to empathize with community members, address concerns, and resolve conflicts.
  • Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools.
  • Creative thinking and problem‑solving abilities with a proactive, results‑driven mindset.
  • Passion for brand and genuine interest in building relationships and fostering community engagement.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly pay range: $20–$30 USD.
