Overview
This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections.
OpportunityWe would like to partner with a skilled grant writer to strengthen Namaskar Foundation’s funding capacity for International Yoga Day Miami and future community wellness initiatives. Specifically, we are seeking support to:
- Identify a short list of relevant grant opportunities and mission-aligned sponsorship prospects focused on health, wellness, prevention, and community impact
- Develop one to two compelling grant or sponsorship narratives that clearly articulate our mission, programs, audience reach, and measurable impact
- Create reusable language and positioning that our team can adapt for future applications and sponsor outreach
The scope of this project is focused on research and writing, not submission management. We anticipate collaborating over several weeks within a 2–5 hour per week commitment.
Namaskar FoundationNamaskar Foundation exists to make holistic, preventive wellness accessible to people of all ages. Securing sustainable funding is essential to expanding access, reducing financial barriers, and delivering high-quality community wellness programming s project will directly support our mission by helping us attract funding and in-kind support that enables free or low-cost access to yoga, meditation, education, and mental health–supportive practices for thousands of community members.
The work created through this partnership will have lasting impact, strengthening our ability to serve diverse populations and grow our reach year over year. Volunteers will see their expertise translate into tangible community outcomes—greater access to wellness resources, stronger partnerships, and a healthier, more connected community.
Our leadership team is fully aligned on the need to strengthen our funding infrastructure, and a dedicated project lead will work directly with the Taproot volunteer. We have a clearly defined mission, established programming, confirmed event details, and prior-year outcomes available to support strong storytelling. We will provide the volunteer with all necessary background materials, including our mission and program descriptions, audience demographics, event metrics, marketing reach, and draft sponsorship decks where helpful.
We will set clear milestones, provide timely feedback, and respect the agreed-upon scope to ensure an efficient and rewarding collaboration. All grant and sponsorship narratives developed through this project will be implemented immediately and reused across multiple funding opportunities.
