Overview
As one of the largest non-governmental providers of social services in South Florida, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami, Inc. has continuously adapted services to meet the changing needs of South Florida's most vulnerable populations since 1931. Today, we provide a variety of services for the elderly; shelter and care for unaccompanied children and youth; quality early childhood education for low-income families;
parent education services, housing services for individuals and families; homelessness prevention services; counseling and substance abuse treatment; and acculturation services for refugees and new entrants. Catholic Charities currently has programs in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe counties.
The Catholic Charities Matthew 25 Food Pantry serves low-income families of the southwest and western communities of Miami-Dade County who struggle to cover their monthly food expenses and sometimes miss meals in order to make ends meet. We distribute food to over 1,900 needy individuals each month. Food distribution is scheduled for January 24th from 6am - 2pm. You can arrive as early as 5:30am and join our team for the day.
Make sure to dress comfortably with closed-toed shoes as you will be on your feet!
