Support Services Coordinator

The National Women’s Shelter Network, Inc. (NWSN) is a nonprofit organization committed to improving the lives of women, children, and families experiencing homelessness. Supporting a growing network of over 525 shelters and safe haven programs across 49 states and multiple US territories (Network), NWSN provides critical resources and coalition building to organizations providing shelter, meals, counseling services, and supportive services. With a focus on inclusivity, the organization collaborates with both faith-based and non-denominational partners to address the root causes of homelessness, provide support, and educate leaders to drive meaningful solutions.

By raising awareness about the intersections of gender-based violence, mental health, and homelessness, NWSN aims to prevent and end homelessness nationwide.

The Supportive Services Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami, FL, but including extensive travel.

Responsibilities include:

• Supportive Services:
• Assisting with organizing, purchasing and tracking in-kind resources to support NWSN’s Network, the women, children and families they serve, and volunteer engagement activities;
• Assisting in the distribution of both financial and in-kind resources, donor drives, sponsor ships and relationships to support the Network and the women, children, and families they serve;
• Assisting with the coordination of volunteer engagement activities with the NWSN’s corporate philanthropic partners;
• Supporting the development and implementation of the NWSN’s strategic outreach, fundraising and sustainability campaigns and reporting for private and public funding sources;
• Outreach & Community Engagement:
• Sharing information and offerings, and providing technical assistance, making linkages and connections for Network members, and providing a wide range of support services to the Network;
• Supporting the important work of the NWSN through research, outreach, and engagement with manufacturing, retail, finance, business, faith-based, and other organizations and allies across the nation;
• Assisting with the implementation of broad-based community outreach efforts, public awareness campaigns, partnership and alliance building, and Network development for the NWSN and its initiatives;
• Event Support:
• Supporting the hosting of the NWSN Annual Conference, convening and symposiums of the NWSN;
• Assisting in preparing and developing educational offerings, workshops, info sessions, programs and presentations both within and beyond the NWSN Annual Conference, convening and symposium, outreach and marketing for the same, overseeing volunteers, and managing the full range of logistics for the conferences and symposiums conducted by the NWSN;
• Communications:
• Assisting with the development of web-based content, newsletters, blogs, social media, and news and advisory alerts for the NWSN, the Network, national leaders, and the general public;
• Other Duties:
• As requested;
• This position requires extensive travel

$45,000 - $55,000 DOE
