Join Our Team as a Foundation Relations Manager
The Foundation Relations Manager is responsible for all areas of philanthropic grant and donor proposal development including identifying funding sources, developing proposals, providing technical support and training for proposal development, budget development and maintaining grant files. This position is responsible for compliance and reporting for all awarded grants through the MDC Foundation development team and college-wide units.
Responsibilities- Research grant opportunities and review proposal summaries developed by College staff for content and feasibility
- Review data and relevant information from request for proposal (RFP) documents
- Develop grant outline, compliance matrix and grant schedule
- Develop grant proposals and donor proposals
- Provide technical assistance to project developers
- Submit grant proposals
- Enter and maintain grant information in a database system
- Collaborate with College personnel to determine funding objectives
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution and three (3) years of related experience or;
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution and seven (7) years of experience - Experience must include verifiable successful experience in technical writing, proof-reading, editing, copy writing, grant writing or equivalent written communication format
- Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
- Strong interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) and organizational skills
- Excellent writing skills with strong ability to summarize data concisely
- Knowledge of foundation and corporate funding sources and mechanisms
