Job Description
Full‑time, exempt GenCLEO Youth Organizing Manager – Hybrid, Miami, Florida. The role manages and scales genCLEO college chapter programs, leading a team of 15‑25 student organizers, launching new chapters across the Southeast, and aligning the team with organizational priorities such as policy engagement and fundraising initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of 15‑25 part‑time student organizers, holding chapters accountable for event and voter outreach goals.
- Assist genCLEO Co‑Executive Leaders in launching new college chapters.
- Coordinate with CLEO leadership to integrate genCLEO into policy, legislative, and fundraising campaigns.
- Recruit, hire, train, and manage Lead Organizers and stipend‑supported interns.
- Conduct regular one‑on‑one and regional meetings with Lead Organizers.
- Develop and deliver training on data management, coalition building, campus engagement, campaign planning, and public communication.
- Support the execution of strategic campus plans, including student recruitment, event planning, coalition‑building, and volunteer engagement.
- Coordinate major programs and events such as advocacy days, election‑related outreach, and Earth Advocacy Day recruitment.
- Travel to college campuses (at least once per semester) to support on‑the‑ground organizing.
- Oversee campus operations, including Maintaining RSO status and ensuring chapters have necessary outreach materials.
- Manage accurate data entry and event tracking: weekly contact data in Every Action, transcription of petitions, Google Forms tracking, and Mobilize advertising.
- Create and manage scripts, forms, lists, and activist codes in Every Action or VAN for accurate tracking.
- Create creative and engaging content with the Digital Communications Associate Manager and oversee distribution via social media and email newsletters.
• Proven experience managing volunteer or student teams in a non‑profit or educational setting.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings and coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with data management tools such as Every Action, Mobilize, Google Forms, and familiarity with voter databases.
• Ability to develop and deliver training and mentorship to a diverse group of students.
• Willingness to travel within Florida and occasionally work nights/weekends.
