WIZO (Women's International Zionist Organization) is a leading global movement founded in 1920, dedicated to social welfare, education, and empowering women and children. WIZO USA,established in 1982, supports WIZO projects in Israel, including day care centers, schools,shelters for battered women, and services for the elderly.

WIZO Florida is entering an exciting new chapter of growth and expansion and is looking for a visionary and high-energy leader to spearhead these efforts.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional who will transform our fundraising efforts, elevate our brand, and expand our regional footprint. The Florida Executive Director will hold overall strategic and operational responsibility for WIZO Florida fundraising activities,programs, and execution of its mission. Reporting to the Florida Board of Directors and WIZO USA Executive Director, this position will drive strategic growth, enhance donor engagement, and expand the organization’s reach.

Core Responsibilities

  • OverseeWIZOFlorida chapter, working in partnership with the Board of Directors and WIZO USA Executive Director to elevate WIZO’s visibility and strengthen its impact.
  • Foster collaboration among board members, volunteers, and staff to build a unified and effective team.
  • Partner with the Florida Chapter Chair to design and execute a strategic growth plan.
  • Represent and articulate WIZO’s mission and values through presentations, donor briefings, and community outreach.
  • Design and oversee chapter programs aligned with WIZO USA’s mission and strategic goals.
  • Work with WIZO Florida Chairperson and Board to develop and execute fundraising strategy: develop and implement WIZO Florida's annual fundraising and communications strategy to achieve revenue goals and expand philanthropic support through individual giving, major gifts, corporate sponsor ships, foundation grants, fundraising events, and other revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Build, cultivate, solicit, steward, and retain relationships with donors, sponsors, foundations, and community leaders, while ensuring meaningful engagement and long-term support.
  • Partner with Board of Directors and Volunteers to advance fundraising initiatives and foster a culture of philanthropy.
  • Partner with Board leadership to develop fundraising budgets, track campaign performance, monitor pledges and revenue, forecast results, and provide regular reports and strategic recommendations to support informed decision-making.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities to diversify revenue, broaden WIZO Florida's philanthropic reach, and strengthen the organization's visibility and long‑term sustainability within the community.
  • Recruit, engage, and cultivate emerging leaders, volunteers, future board members, and ambassadors.
  • Communications & Branding
  • Adapt WIZO USA’s branding and communications strategy to the local market while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Lead marketing, public relations, and multimedia campaigns.
  • Oversee the creation and design of print, digital, social media, and video communications.
  • Act as the face and voice of WIZO Florida at community events and high-profile gala events to reinforce organizational values through impactful storytelling.
  • Actively monitor social media trends related to WIZO Florida, guiding the organization's online presence to strategically increase visibility and engagement in alignment with WIZO USA brand.
  • Oversee the planning, strategy, and execution of all major WIZO Florida events to ensure flawless logistics and high-impact guest experiences. Ensuring events are executed according to the fundraising and development goals of the chapter
