Job Summary and Qualifications

The Director ensures high quality, patient-centered care through 24/7 responsibility for the operational performance and staffing of the unit/department, in addition to forecasting, planning, and budget monitoring. The Director fosters a culture of accountability and collaboration and supports the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures in support of facility objectives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or other clinical specialty, required.
  • Master's Degree, preferred.
  • 1+ years management experience, required.
  • 3+ years management experience, preferred.
  • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse or other licensed clinician in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation, required.

HCA Florida Kendall Hospital is located in west Miami‑Dade County. Our acute care facility has 417 beds. Our services include trauma, burn, surgical, women’s and children’s services, behavioral health and diagnostic services. We have two full‑service free‑standing ER facilities. The hospital has received the Distinguished Hospital Award for Overall Clinical Excellence from Health Grades, is a Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center certified by the Florida Department of Health, and is verified as a Level I Adult Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons.

HCA Florida Kendall Hospital is also a Thrombectomy‑Capable Stroke Center certified by the Joint Commission and one of five American Burn Association's verified Burn Centers in the state.
