Certified Nursing Assistant
Work Shift:
3 × 12‑hour shifts. Days, nights, and weekends may be required.
Work Location:
University of Miami Hospital & Clinics – Nursing Penthouse South U‑Tower.
- The Certified Nursing Assistant assists in patient care throughout nursing areas.
- Provides constant observation services for patients who have been assessed to require continuous monitoring to maximize their safety.
- Performs general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit, implementing the patient care plan established by the RN.
- Alerts appropriate RN team members when emergencies arise or when changes in patient status are noted.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate from an accredited school of Certified Nursing Assistance.
Certification and Licensing:
Valid Florida Certified Nursing Assistant license and BLS certification required.
Experience:
Preferred 1 year of relevant experience.
