About the Role:
The ER RN position at Larkin Community Hospital is a critical role focused on delivering high-quality, compassionate nursing care in a fast-paced emergency room environment. The primary objective is to assess, triage, and treat patients presenting with a wide range of acute medical conditions, ensuring timely and effective interventions. This role requires adaptability to work across various shifts and units within the emergency department, providing support wherever patient care demands are highest.
The ER nurse collaborates closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Ultimately, this position aims to enhance patient outcomes through expert clinical skills, rapid decision-making, and empathetic patient interactions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
- Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or equivalent nursing education.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. (American Heart Association)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. (American Heart Association)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). (American Heart Association)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) or equivalent specialty certification.
- Experience working in a high-volume urban hospital emergency department.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems used in acute care settings.
- Strong background in emergency and critical care interventions.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in an emergency or acute care setting.
