Job Summary
Join the dynamic team at HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, a 417‑bed acute care facility located in west Miami‑Dade County. As a Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center and Thrombectomy‑Capable Stroke Center, we provide comprehensive services including trauma, burn, surgical, women's and children's services, behavioral health, and diagnostic services. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality patient care within the Trauma Operating Room setting.
You will utilize your clinical expertise and the nursing process to manage a designated group of patients, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. - Assume responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients within the Trauma OR.
- Provide patient care utilizing the nursing process, therapeutic use of self, and the environment/instrumentation.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to implement and evaluate patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and assess patient condition, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare provider.
- Document patient care accurately and completely in the electronic health record.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
- Current Florida Registered Nurse license or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements).
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Minimum of 2 years of trauma or operating room acute care experience.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification (or obtained within 30 days of employment).
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (or obtained within 30 days of employment).
