Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Operating Room (OR) care for an acute care facility in Miami, Florida. This role offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients across various specialties within a dynamic and fast‑paced environment. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the surgical team, contributing to patient safety and positive outcomes through expert clinical practice, meticulous attention to detail, and collaborative teamwork.
This position involves direct patient care during the pre‑operative, intra‑operative, and post‑operative phases of surgery.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the operating room, including pre‑operative, intra‑operative, and post‑operative phases.
- Assist surgeons and surgical team members during procedures, anticipating needs and ensuring a sterile environment.
- Prepare the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and in working order.
- Monitor patient's physiological status, vital signs, and response to anesthesia and surgical interventions.
- Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosage and documentation.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care, interventions, and outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, scrub techs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient safety and surgical outcomes.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, including infection control protocols.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 1‑2 years of recent experience in an Operating Room (OR) setting.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification.
- Experience with specific surgical specialties (e.g., Orthopedics, Cardiovascular, Neuro).
