Overview
As an RN on the Progressive Care Unit, you will influence patient care through collaborative relationships with managers, hospital councils, and national nursing initiatives. You will help shape decisions that elevate patient outcomes and the future of nursing.
Job SummaryThe Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, you will provide pre‑operative and post‑operative nursing care and advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.
Responsibilities- Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitor response.
- Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical‑surgical patients.
- Current Florida license as a Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements).
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification or obtain within 30 days of employment start date.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or obtain within 30 days of employment start date.
- Minimum 1 year of RN acute care experience.
