Registered Nurse
The University of Miami/UHealth, Department of Neurology/Telemetry at UTower has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Registered Nurse. The Registered Nurse delivers patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner, utilizing evidence-based standards of quality, safety, and service while ensuring population-specific patient care. The Registered Nurse oversees nurses and allied health staff in their daily practice.
Responsibilities include assessing assigned patients, modifying patient treatment plans, reviewing diagnostic tests, consulting with healthcare professionals, preparing patients for examinations, considering patient age and culture, nurturing a compassionate environment, performing patient tests, administering medications, maintaining accurate records, communicating plan of care, using available resources for discharge planning, planning and prioritizing assignments, safely operating medical equipment, serving as a preceptor, adhering to policies and procedures, and safeguarding University assets.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Valid Florida Registered Nurse License, ACLS, BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing hospital experience.
