Job Overview

RN-Registered Nurse // OR – Operating Room Onsite Contract Starts 7/27/2026 for 12 weeks. Day Shift 12 hours/day, 3 days/week.

Unit: OR RN (701) – HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, 11750 Bird Road, Miami, FL 33175. 417‑bed facility with recent upgrades. Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, American Heart Gold Plus Achievement Award.

Room capacity: 16 rooms. Staff: 53 total – 13 teams, 15 RN’s and 15 techs on day shift, etc. Type of staff:
Director, Charge RN, Open Heart, OR RN, surgeons, anesthesiologists, CNAs, LPNs. Equipment: sterile accessories, circulator, sponges, gowning, gloving, tubing, cords, cuts. Documentation System:
Meditech. Call Requirements: (not specified).

Day Shift: 12 hours/day, 3 days/week. Patient ratios: 1:1, 2:1, 3:1.

• BLS, ACLS certifications.
• At least 2 years current experience in an acute hospital setting, not a surgical center.
• Strong orthopaedic, neurological and robotics experience; willing to float to general OR.
• Robotics/Da Vinci experience and scrubbing.

• Prepare operating room, arrange equipment, assist doctor during surgeries.
• Inspect, maintain, decontaminate and repair surgical equipment; keep inventory records.
• Pre‑ and post‑surgical repair, including shaving, transporting and applying dressings.

• Easily adaptable to fast‑paced unit, able to function well independently.
• Previous travel experience preferred.
