  • Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience preferred
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or pediatric populations preferred
  • Group home or long‑term care experience is a plus
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds with assistance and perform the physical requirements of the position
  • Strong leadership, communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Must be reliable, compassionate, and committed to providing exceptional care
  • Flexibility to work day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled
Key Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide skilled nursing care while ensuring the health, safety, and well‑being of individuals residing in our Special Medical Group Home.

Responsibilities include:

  • Receive and provide detailed shift reports during handoff.
  • Administer medications accurately and maintain complete medication and narcotic documentation.
  • Monitor the health status of individuals and perform nursing assessments throughout each shift.
  • Conduct routine medical rounds to ensure appropriate oxygen use, infection control, equipment safety, positioning, and overall medical needs.
  • Provide treatments and skilled nursing interventions as prescribed.
  • Assist with total care, repositioning, and daily living activities when needed.
  • Supervise and support Direct Support Instructors (DSIs), LPNs, and direct care staff to ensure quality care and compliance with agency policies, when assigned.
  • Delegate assignments and monitor completion of daily responsibilities.
  • Maintain accurate nursing documentation, daily notes, reports, and required records.
  • Monitor medication inventory and coordinate pharmacy orders.
  • Complete laboratory documentation and treatment records as required.
  • Change tracheostomy tubes and provide specialized respiratory care as needed.
  • Maintain the medication cart and nursing equipment according to regulatory standards.
  • Report equipment concerns, complete incident reports, and communicate maintenance needs promptly.
  • Participate in staff meetings and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide high‑quality care.
