RNTTP Program

The RNTTP program is a comprehensive developmental training program designed to assist the post-graduate nurse or nurse with less than one year of experience in the transition from entry level, advanced beginner nurse to competent professional RN. The program consists of a 12-month standardized curriculum focused on refinement of graduate nurse clinical competencies, and development of professional nursing roles and leadership characteristics.

The RN TTP Resident demonstrates proficiency in practice based on conscious and deliberate planning. Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care based on patient education, self management, and customer satisfaction. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for providing competent, evidence based care to patients with oversight of licensed vocational nurses/nursing assistants as appropriate to the setting.
  • Administers medication and procedures per established policies and guidelines.
  • Collaborates with members of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Executes position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to management of complex client care.
