Kidney Specialty Center Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Opportunity

Kidney Specialty Center is a nephrology practice dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered kidney care across outpatient, dialysis, and hospital settings. Working closely with KidneySPA dialysis centers and affiliated physicians, our team provides continuity of care for patients throughout every stage of chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease.

We are committed to combining clinical excellence, collaboration, innovation, and compassionate care to improve outcomes and the overall patient experience.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our nephrology team and provide comprehensive care to patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and end-stage renal disease (ESRD).

This is a dynamic clinical role with a strong outpatient nephrology focus, while also supporting patients across dialysis centers and hospital settings. Working under the direction of our Medical Director and in close collaboration with our nephrologists, the APRN will help ensure continuity of care across the patient's full kidney-care journey.

The ideal candidate combines strong clinical judgment, nephrology knowledge, independence, and excellent collaboration skills with a genuine commitment to improving patient outcomes. Given the role's involvement in hospital-based nephrology care, candidates with acute-care experience, including experience managing medically complex patients in ICU or telemetry settings, are especially encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do

· Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic kidney-related conditions in outpatient nephrology settings.

· Perform comprehensive examinations and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with supervising and collaborating physicians.

· Prescribe medications and order, review, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies within the APRN's scope of practice.

· Provide ongoing management of patients with CKD and ESRD.

· Manage and perform clinical rounds for hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients in accordance with applicable clinical guidelines and standards of care.

· Identify, evaluate, and manage ESRD-related complications, including anemia, hypertension, mineral and bone disorders, electrolyte abnormalities, fluid-management concerns, and dialysis vascular access issues.

· Provide preventive care, routine follow-up visits, patient education, and chronic disease-management counseling.

· Coordinate referrals and continuity of care among physician offices, outpatient settings, dialysis centers, hospitals, specialists, and other healthcare providers.

· Provide hospital coverage and support for nephrology patients, including patient evaluations, routine orders, admissions, discharge planning, and transitions of care, as appropriate.

· Collaborate closely with nephrologists and other physicians on complex, acute, or changing patient conditions.

· Serve as a clinical resource for dialysis teams and assist in the prevention, identification, and management of dialysis-related complications.

· Support effective communication between outpatient providers, dialysis facilities, hospitals, patients, and caregivers.

· Participate in quality-improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice, clinical education, and other organizational initiatives.

· Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation and comply with HIPAA, CMS ESRD requirements, organizational policies, and applicable professional standards.

What You'll Bring

· Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist.

· Current and unrestricted Florida RN and APRN licenses.

· Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist from an approved certifying body.

· Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one.

· Current BLS certification.
