The Clinical Partner (CP) provides basic technical nursing skills and delegated tasks (e.g., wound care, discontinuing a saline lock, discontinuing a Foley catheter) under the direction and/or supervision of the registered nurse, in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act, Florida Statutes, and BHSF policy. The CP is a valued member of the nursing team who works in close collaboration with the assigned RN to provide safe, quality, patient-centered care.
Nursing activities that cannot be delegated to unlicensed assistive personnel include the assessment and evaluation of the impact of interventions on the care provided to the patient.
- High School, GED, Certificate, or equivalent experience.
- Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- CNA or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in an acute care facility in Florida preferred.
