Job Opportunity – Operating Room RN – South Florida
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Miami, Florida
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day shift, 1:1 patient ratio, with call requirements including 2 weekend shifts (8 hours), 4 evening shifts (4 hours), and 1 overnight shift (8 hours) per month
Highlights:- Work in a 20-room state-of-the-art operating room suite at a 428-bed facility recognized as a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center and American Heart Gold Plus Achievement Award recipient
- Diverse case mix including robotics (Da Vinci SP, DV5), orthopedics (Mako), neurosurgery (Stealth), trauma, endovascular hybrid procedures, ENT, ophthalmology, GI, and burn cases
- Collaborative team environment with 18 surgical teams, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and OR coordinators
- Mandatory MEDITECH electronic medical record system experience required
- Scrubs provided; focus on efficient 30-minute turnover times and comprehensive perioperative care
- Opportunity to work with advanced surgical technology and float among various OR specialties
- Active Florida RN license or compact state license eligible for Florida endorsement
- BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital OR experience (surgical centers do not qualify)
- MEDITECH documentation system experience required
- Strong background in orthopedics, neurosurgery, and robotic surgery
- Ability and willingness to float among multiple OR specialties
- Proficiency in perioperative responsibilities including room preparation, equipment arrangement, surgical assistance, sterilization, inventory management, and specimen documentation
