Job Posting Title QC Inspector Overview
The QC Inspector performs inspection and oversight functions in accordance with Global
X’s Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP), company-approved procedures, and applicable FAA regulations. This position ensures that maintenance actions, parts, materials, and documentation meet regulatory and company standards for airworthiness and safe return to service. The QC Inspector also supports the performance monitoring of the CAMP through internal and vendor audits, surveillance activities, and corrective action follow‑up.
- Perform line maintenance, Remain Over Night (RON), and receiving inspections (RI).
- Monitor maintenance workmanship, processes, and materials to ensure compliance with Global
X procedures and FAA regulations. - Perform Required Inspection Item (RII) in‑process inspections, including review of maintenance documentation.
- Provide “buy‑back” verification of both RII and non‑RII maintenance actions.
- Approve return to service for maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations within authorized limits.
- Provide airworthiness release (AWR) when applicable.
- Reject unsatisfactory work in accordance with approved procedures.
- Reject parts and materials during the receiving inspection process that do not conform to Global
X standards. - Initiate discrepancies in aircraft logbooks and non‑routine documentation as required.
- Audit completed aircraft maintenance records, including logbook pages, work cards, non‑routines, engineering orders (EOs), engineering authorizations (EAs), and other supporting documents.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper retention of assigned work documents and maintenance records.
- Support oversight activities during heavy maintenance events, special maintenance visits, and contracted maintenance work scopes.
- Conduct inspections and audits of contractor and vendor maintenance activities in support of CAMP requirements.
- Perform surveillance at line stations and with approved maintenance providers, including repair and overhaul vendors, contract maintenance organizations, parts distributors, fueling providers, deicing providers, and other service suppliers.
- Prepare audit reports identifying hazards, risks, and required corrective actions.
- Monitor corrective action progress toward completion, including risk mitigation, transfer, acceptance, or elimination activities.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Quality (DOQ) or QC Manager.
- Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate.
- Minimum of five (5) years of aircraft maintenance and/or inspection experience.
- Verifiable inspection experience, including Required Inspection Item (RII) authorization, supported by training or employment records.
- Experience with aircraft parts and materials handling, including receiving inspection processes.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of the TRAX maintenance management system preferred; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
- Previous experience supporting heavy maintenance events, C‑check environments, or special maintenance visits.
- Preferred experience with NDT inspection methods, including Liquid Penetrant, Eddy Current, and Borescope inspections.
- Familiarity with audit processes, vendor oversight, and CAMP performance monitoring.
Employees are regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands for handling and reaching, and communicate effectively. The role may require climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 70 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
