JOB OVERVIEW Responsibilities
- Conducting audits and inspections:
Perform internal audits of maintenance, operational, and safety systems to ensure compliance with regulations, international standards and company policies, such as the Maintenance Policy Manual (MPM) and other international regulations. - Investigating issues:
Investigate incidents and discrepancies, analyze trends, and take part in root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences and create reports - Ensuring regulatory compliance:
Verify that all activities and documentation adhere to applicable aviation regulations safety standards, and other requirements. - Monitor adherence to QA process, identify gaps and work multiple teams to implement corrective and preventive actions
- Implementing corrective actions:
Follow up on, monitor, and ensure the timely completion of corrective and preventive actions identified during audits occurrence and SMS reporting. - Continuous improvement:
Support the development and implementation of the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and other continuous improvement initiatives. - Implement programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses
- Quality Assurance support/liaison with the various areas such as operations, repair center, engineering etc.
- Must have 3 years Quality Assurance Environment experience.
- Minimum of 3 year of technical engine maintenance experience or repair shop experience
- In this function the candidate must be open minded to address Culture Change, listening and share best practices within the Safety Culture mindset.
- Abilities to support shop floor employees and other support group (customer support/ Engineering) with QA and regulatory related issues.
- Experience with aviation maintenance, operations, and quality assurance programs.
- Experience with investigation tools and methodologies such as 6S, Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), and 5 Whys for problem-solving and process improvement
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Effective oral and written communication skills for writing reports and collaborating with various teams and regulatory bodies.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Safety Management Systems (SMS).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
