Quality Specialist

Job Description

Join our dynamic team at a leading distribution center where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of aerospace components. Our facility stocks over a million part numbers, providing end-to-end services to OEMs, MROs, and airlines. Located in Hialeah, we conduct quality inspections on third-party manufactured parts before shipping them to manufacturing facilities. Your expertise will contribute to reducing cost, risk, and complexity.

Responsibilities
  • Verify routine product conformance to design requirements and provide objective evidence of results.
  • Perform auditing, surveillance, and monitoring, identifying and documenting discrepancies.
  • Segregate and control non-conforming items, performing preliminary review and disposition.
  • Inspect incoming parts/materials and outgoing orders, verify certification accuracy, and check parts for processing.
  • Conduct dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels; conduct visual inspections for obvious defects.
  • Review and disposition all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and company quality standards.
  • Obtain and maintain Customer Designated Supplier Quality Representative Stamps for at least three customers.
  • Provide mentorship throughout the inspection team and actively use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, and indicators.
Essential Skills
  • Aerospace or aviation industry experience.
  • Experience interpreting blueprints, schematics, or engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments: calipers, pin gauges.
  • Experience with quality manuals such as certificates of conformance, FAA traceability, and airworthiness documentation.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • 2+ years of related work experience using calipers, ring/pin gauges, comparator, and Smart scope.
  • Previous aerospace industry inspection experience.
  • Experience in QA inspection methods and procedures, including First Article Inspection.
  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, and verbal communication).
  • Proficient PC skills and use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel).

Work Environment

Our facility offers 8-hour shifts with staggered start times. First shift starts between 6am and 9am, and second shift starts between 1pm and 3pm. Enjoy a climate-controlled facility that ensures comfort while you work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $34.00/hr.
