Job Summary

Participates and coordinates research projects, works closely with research team in recruiting subjects to observational studies, maintains research databases, and assists in the drafting of research protocols and manuscripts.

Specific Duties
  • Responsible for working closely with researchers, NCH Research Institute staff, and other health care providers.
  • Assist in the development of research projects, writing and submitting manuscripts for publication.
  • Assists study staff with any concerns or questions by promptly providing requested information and feedback.
  • Maintains and updates patient information in the database; ensures data is collected, input, and reported appropriately and completely.
  • Provides feedback to clinical and administrative staff in Research regarding any concerns; ensures database reflects documentation of the patient record and updates when needed.
  • Provides reports on grant progress and assists in troubleshooting.
  • Serves as liaison for Research Institute with all departments involved with the study.
Qualifications
  • AA, medical, technical school (or) 2 years of research or healthcare experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in the biomedical or clinical sciences.
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Working knowledge and coursework in statistics.
  • Familiarity with computer-based tracking systems.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Able to relate cooperatively and constructively with co-workers.
  • Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions.
