Lab Technician – Chemistry and Hydrocarbon Gases

Full-time. Compensation:
USD 21 – 22 hourly

Beta Analytic, headquartered in Miami, Florida, seeks a qualified Laboratory Technician. This full‑time, 40‑hour per week position offers overtime pay at 1½ times the regular rate and includes medical insurance and other employer benefits.

Position Overview: We are a production laboratory, not a research facility.

Responsibilities:

• After training, independently prepare samples for analysis according to SGS analytical SOPs.
• Use instrumentation specific to the department and analytical methodologies.
• Perform routine operation, maintenance, and calibration of equipment.
• Assist with validation and MDL studies.
• Input and maintain technical information to support laboratory functions.
• Maintain a laboratory notebook when applicable.
• Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a physical science field (chemistry preferred).
• Minimum one year of hands‑on laboratory work, including college/university experience.
• Experience with cryogenics, chemicals, vacuum systems, pressure fittings, and an understanding of the behavior of gases under changing pressure (physical chemistry) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and computer software proficiency.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all staff levels.
• Team player with ability to multi‑task and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• Accountability and self‑motivation.

• Physical requirements:
  
  stand for long periods, climb stairs, and lift up to 40 pounds regularly.
• Local candidates only (Miami‑Dade & Broward).
• Must be comfortable working any day of the week, including weekends.
