Job Summary
The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking a Research Specialist I to join our team of professionals.
Duties- Perform laboratory or clinical experiments in alignment with research objectives.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data; prepare reports and summaries of findings.
- Contribute to the writing, editing, and submission of scientific manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations.
- Obtain relevant IRB/IBC/IACUC (if applicable) approvals before performing any experiments.
- Maintain scientific integrity and confidentiality as per the HWCOM and FIU policies and regulations.
- Assist with ordering, tracking, and maintaining laboratory supplies, reagents, and equipment.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of experiments, protocols, and results.
- Support general administrative tasks such as scheduling, coordination, and recordkeeping.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of experience or Master's degree and 1 year of experience.
