The Store Associate supports the current and future goals within our Stores by adhering to all procedures and programs outlined in the Operations Division; they will participate in the daily operations of the store including food service as an entire entity. The Store Associate will actively learn, participate, train on all current and future programs, continually monitor progress, and ensure all employees are upholding standards.

• Must be of legal age to sell alcohol and tobacco products
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English at a sufficient level to communicate effectively with customers and team members
• Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time
• Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, and reach (including overhead)
• Ability to successfully work in varying and extreme temperatures

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Ability to operate a personal computer
• Understanding and compliance with company policies and procedures regarding robberies and safe handling of petroleum products

• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, in adherence to attendance policy
• Arrive to work on time consistently
• Arrive on property in proper attire, clean, crisp, and in good repair following uniform standards
• Maintain a clean and well-stocked store using organizational skills
• Attend required trainings, safety courses, office and departmental meetings
• Report safety hazards and follow up until corrected, assisting in maintaining a safe work environment
• Abide by federal, state, and local law, regulations, and company policy
• Perform minor repair and maintenance of store equipment
• Operate all equipment in accordance with daily duties
• Handle all payments following company policies
• Ensure customers are first priority to encourage repeat visits
• Greet customers and assist with questions about products or services
• Provide positive interaction, address inquiries, and resolve complaints
• Ensure friendly and efficient checkout experience
• Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment
• Communicate accurately and positively to customers and staff
• Problem solving and de-escalation skills
• Operate cash register, money order machine, electronic lottery, safes, credit card machines, gasoline console, emergency gasoline shutoff valve
• Perform store merchandising: stocking shelves, pricing, blocking, placing window banners, in-store POS, ensuring products are in code
• All other duties as assigned by Store Manager
