Sales Associate

Position Overview

The Sales Associate is responsible for sales generation and delivering a positive customer experience. The Sales Associate will also handle a variety of operational duties as assigned by the store management team, such as housekeeping duties and maintaining visual presentation standards.

Store Management

• Greeting customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile and sincere, non‑business greeting.
• Creating a positive first impression through energetic attitude and adherence to the dress code.
• Maintaining a sparkling clean and organized environment by adhering to store standards and cleanliness.
• Providing customers with current relevant information about the products.
• Offering quality service in fitting rooms, following up with customers in a timely manner, maintaining cash wrap cleanliness, and attempting to add to the sale.
• Providing efficient service at the cash wrap, offering gift cards, maintaining cash wrap cleanliness, and capturing customer information in the database.
• Sincerely thanking all customers for shopping at GUESS as they exit the store.

• Satisfactorily completing all duties as assigned by management.
• Punctuality and adherence to the designated work schedule.
• Flexibility and effective teamwork with peers and management to accomplish duties.
• 100% adherence to GUESS policies and procedures.
• Performing housekeeping duties as required.

• Meeting or exceeding the sales per hour (SPH) goals assigned by management.

• Participating in and attending all store meetings and related functions.
• Representing a positive attitude toward merchandise and the company.
• Participating in all inventories.
• Assuming and completing other duties as assigned by store management.
• Physical requirements:
  
  ability to perform heavy lifting in excess of 30 pounds and stand for a minimum of eight hours during scheduled shifts.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork ability in a team‑oriented environment.
• Flexible schedule: ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical stamina: ability to walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and balance frequently.
