Business Development Manager
Orkin (Miami, FL)

Overview

As part of the Orkin Commercial sales team, you’ll use the brand’s legacy and award‑winning training to sell pest‑control solutions, build trusted relationships and help customers protect their businesses.

Responsibilities
  • Prioritize safety in all responsibilities.
  • Conduct yourself with the utmost professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers.
  • Serve as an empathetic problem solver for commercial customers, recommending the best innovative solution for each customer’s needs.
  • Achieve sales goals through prospecting new business and assigned leads.
  • Utilize marketing tools to drive new business development.
  • Conduct an inspection of the interior and exterior of the customer’s property (training provided).
  • Make recommendations to customers based on your inspection and issues identified, addressing any questions and setting expectations.
  • Use the company iPad to prepare sales agreements and stay organized.

Qualifications
  • No experience required; sales experience preferred.
  • Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to obtain required pesticide license/certification (company paid).
  • Ability to work in the field independently and interact with customers inside their businesses and/or homes.
Physical Demands / Working Conditions
  • Safely use a ladder within manufacturer weight capacity.
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roof tops, etc., including climbing or balancing and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), sometimes requiring an OSHA‑compliant respirator.
  • Willing to work in different types of weather conditions.
