Our client is hiring an Area Sales Manager to focus on the convenience store channel in the Florida region including Miami-Ft Lauderdale, Orlando and Tampa. This role is responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market share within the channel. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and leading a team to maximize distribution, merchandising, and promotional execution.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in sales within the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry, experience working with convenience store chains and distributors, and a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets. This role can be based in Miami, Tampa or Orlando areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth in the convenience store channel.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand distribution within independent and chain convenience stores.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with key accounts, distributors, and retail partners.
Account & Territory Management
- Manage a portfolio of convenience store customers, ensuring sales objectives and distribution goals are met.
- Collaborate with retail partners to optimize product placement, promotions, and pricing strategies.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Work closely with the sales team, brokers, and distributors to achieve business objectives.
- Train and support field sales representatives in executing merchandising and promotional programs.
- Coordinate with marketing and trade marketing teams to develop and implement effective campaigns.
Operational & Performance Management:
- Monitor sales performance, track KPIs, and report results to senior management.
- Negotiate contracts and promotional agreements with convenience store chains and distributors.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing structures, and promotional guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred). - 5+ years of sales experience in the convenience store channel or CPG industry.
- Proven success in managing key accounts and distributor relationships.
- Experience negotiating and implementing sales programs with retail partners.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze market data and sales reports to drive strategic decisions.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM software.

Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and sales teams.
