What Are We Looking For?

We are seeking an experienced Account Executive or Account Manager to support our Construction, Real Estate, Marine, Aviation, or Healthcare verticals in Florida.

What Your Day Will Look Like

As an Account Executive at Howden US, you’ll be the trusted advisor for a portfolio of clients across diverse industries. You’ll blend technical expertise, relationship management, and strategic thinking to deliver exceptional service and drive retention. Expect to:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, managing all aspects of their insurance programs.
  • Collaborate with producers and placement teams to onboard new accounts and renew existing ones.
  • Conduct coverage reviews, identify gaps, and recommend tailored solutions.
  • Advocate for clients in claims situations, policy negotiations, and risk management discussions.
  • Coordinate with carriers to secure competitive terms and ensure timely policy issuance.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and agency management systems (e.g., EPIC, AMS
    360).
  • Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to proactively advise clients.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and renewal strategy sessions.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives including process improvement, training, and thought leadership.

Skills and Experience That Will Lead to Success

  • Active Property & Casualty license (multi-state authority preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in account management, client service, or broking in Construction, Real Estate, Marine, Aviation, or Healthcare.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, carrier appetites, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication skills—able to explain complex coverage in plain language.
  • Proven ability to build long-term client relationships and manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in CRM and agency management systems.
  • Collaborative mindset—comfortable working with producers, underwriters, and internal teams.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for client advocacy.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected base salary range is between $125,000 and $200,000, based on experience and location.

In addition to a competitive base salary, employees are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus. Howden also offers a variety of benefits and programs, subject to eligibility, including:
