Responsible for dispensing spectacles and other optical products to both adults and children, working with prescriptions written by optometrists and ophthalmologists. This position advises and assists patients with various types of lenses and spectacle frames, including style, weight, and color. The pay range advertised for this position does not include additional compensation paid through our spiff program.
Responsibilities- Verify order data entry and compare prescriptions to ensure accuracy. Complete proper order filing procedures, including filing the order under the correct ABC system in the store.
- Deliver sales by providing excellent member service in person and over the phone. Explain in detail all procedures included under the exam fee; be open and honest in communication and maintain a friendly, pleasant demeanor with customers at all times.
- Takes measurements, assures correct frame selection for prescription power, reads prescriptions on the lensometer, and manages product readiness and order progression in the system.
- Educate patients on the benefits of available products and recommend those that will enhance visual needs to achieve sales and metric goals.
- Engage with members in front of Optical during downtime.
- Adhere to all privacy and proprietary company policies and procedures, including HIPAA. Provide support for members in making eyeglass adjustments and repairs.
- Assist Optical Manager with opening and closing procedures at the beginning and end of shift. Ensure accurate funds collection and payment processing.
- Maintain all club policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
