Description
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the BT Manager will work in the sales and marketing department of the assigned geographical location. You will be responsible for networking with potential clients, managing large accounts, maintaining a loyal customer base, and overseeing hotel sales and marketing strategies within the given area. In this role, you will also be budgeting, forecasting, creating advertising campaigns, and other methods to meet or exceed stated revenue and room night goals for your assigned hotel(s) and market(s).
EssentialDuties
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Monitoring and analyzing sales data to identify trends and areas of improvement.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, including corporate clients and travel agents.
- Ability to use repetitive hand and body motions such as grasp, writing, typing, listening, hearing, and visual acuity.
- Role may require the ability to drive a motor vehicle, stand, walk, sit, talk, talk on a telephone or mobile device, carry a laptop (including while traveling), use a computer for a significant amount of time each day, to hear, and to occasionally lift to 20 lbs.
- Generate new business, close deals, and increase revenue by conducting customer sales calls, presentations, on‑site visits and sales tours, and community networking.
- Support the goals of each hotel by establishing and growing the hotel(s)’ market share through the developing and maintaining of relationships with major groups and catering clients.
- Compile and analyze weekly and month end reports, review and implement action plans to address market share penetration.
- Plan sales trips, under the direct approval of the Director of Sales, to major marketing areas.
- Travel regionally to meet with sales teams and other sales managers to measure growth and plan new sales goals.
- Identify new business leads by examining local market trends and competition activities and provide feedback to the Director of Sales.
- Support the Director of Sales in preparing the department budget and the hotel’s overall sales goals and strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in hotel management, business, marketing, or related field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work‑related experience.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- At least 2 years of sales and marketing experience at the corporate or hotel level, or 3 years as a hotel guest service agent.
- Experience with property management systems and central reservation systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
