Membership Specialist

ISSF Personal Trainers. Miami, FL, United States.

The Membership Specialist will represent UFC GYM by providing a welcoming, informative and engaging experience for all members and guests during their visits. The role is responsible for attracting potential members to the gym, delivering industry-leading customer service to both prospective and current members, and achieving personal revenue targets set by management through internal and external prospecting.

Lead Generation Appointment Booking
  • External marketing, promotions, and prospecting. This daily activity requires off‑site promotions including distributing passes, building relationships with local merchants, and hosting branding events to inform the community about UFC GYM and its services, ultimately generating leads.
  • Internal marketing and prospecting. Collects leads at enrollment and from the current member base through relationship building and referral programs, translating into lead gathering.
  • Book membership appointments through productive phone activities and meet or exceed monthly appointment goals set by the company.
  • Ensure appointments translate into enough guests and meet or exceed monthly guest goal set by the company.
Guest Touring, Membership Presentations, Personal Production
  • Ensure that 100% of guests receive a Fitness Tour when touring the gym as detailed in the Membership Specialist Playbook. These tours should result in enrolling half of the guests seen in a membership (50% closing) and enrolling 25% with Personal Training.
  • Use the company‑approved presentation when presenting membership options to non‑members. Ensure each new member meets a manager before completing the sales process and exiting the gym; proper presentations and introductions to the manager should achieve 50% closing of guests.
  • Ensure Personal Sales Room financial goals are met or exceeded each month.
  • Generate New Member Sales Revenue (NMS), Point of Sale Personal Training Revenue (POS PT), and New Electronic Funds Transfer sets (EFT).
  • Hold Sales Drivers accountable to meeting or exceeding required sales behaviors that lead to key metrics set by management.
  • Ensure integrity of each sale by attaching supporting documents and signatures (corporate approved specials, discounts, etc.) with each agreement.
Customer Service
  • Follow up with enrolled members to ensure we are exceeding expectations.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service when communicating and interacting with guests.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and operational facility.
  • Save members who request cancellation; if unable to retain, coordinate with a manager to complete cancellation.
Miscellaneous
  • Sales schedule: scheduled a month in advance and approved by GM. All Membership Specialists must be available to work weekends and holidays. Requests for days off must be given in writing; exceptions may be made by GM.
  • Mandatory meetings:
    Monthly All‑Team Meeting and Daily Production Meetings.
  • Uniform policy: UFC GYM Black Polo, Long Dress Slacks (Black, Blue, Khaki) or Jeans (Blue or Black) in good condition with no rips or holes; dress shoes or casual dress shoes in good condition; no athletic shoes; black jackets allowed; no hoodies/sweatshirts; no hats or headwear.
  • Timekeeping: record time worked using company check‑in system; punch out for lunch within 5 hours; off‑clock work not permitted; missed punch must be corrected with adjustment form submitted to management.
Required Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • In‑depth knowledge of sales practices and techniques.
  • General understanding of the fitness industry.
  • Ability to work with computers.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Independent, self‑starter with strong organizational skills.
  • Team player.
Minimum Certifications/Educational Level
  • High school degree or GED required.
  • Must complete company sales training and orientation program.
Minimum Experience
  • 1–2 years sales experience preferred.
Compensation

$12.00 – $30.00 per hour.
