Sales Manager – Group Sales

Position Summary:
Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront is seeking an experienced and driven Group Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for generating new group business and managing existing accounts, with a focus on maximizing revenue through strategic sales efforts. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented professional with strong relationship-building skills and a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences in a beachfront resort setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively solicit and secure new group business (corporate, association, SMERF, and specialty segments)
Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts to drive repeat business
Conduct site tours, client presentations, and participate in industry events and trade shows
Respond to RFPs, negotiate contracts, and close business in alignment with revenue goals
Collaborate with revenue management and operations teams to optimize group pricing and availability
Ensure seamless turnover of booked groups to event and operations teams
Maintain accurate records in CRM systems (e.g., Delphi/FDC) and provide regular sales reporting
Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2+ years of hotel sales experience, with a focus on group sales preferred
Prior experience in a full-service hotel or resort environment strongly preferred
Florida market experience
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
Familiarity with Hilton systems and brand standards is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel sales systems (Delphi, OnQ, etc.)Ability to travel for client meetings, trade shows, and sales calls as needed

Must have (3+) years of progressive sales experience.
Previous experience in the hospitality industry preferred; experience selling luxury brands and experiential services preferred.
Skills and Knowledge Aggressive negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business with a high conversion ratio.
Possesses software knowledge (Microsoft Office, etc.).Possesses systems knowledge (Delphi and Delphi Diagrams).Must be able to “Knock on doors” to get the business
Knows how to conduct research on the Internet.
Weekly prospecting and soliciting goals
Uncovering new customers
Effective sales skills to up-sell products and services
Knowledge of menu planning, food presentation, and banquet and event service operations
Ability to manage guest room and meeting space inventories
Strong customer development and relationship management skills
Knowledge of overall hotel operations as they affect department
Knowledge of AV products and services at both hotels
Knowledge of contract management and legalities
Financial management skills e.g., ability to understand P&L statements, manage operating budgets, forecasting and scheduling
