About the RoleAs a Business Development Representative, you'll play a pivotal role in our acquisition process by connecting with founders and investors who have expressed interest in buying or building an e‑commerce business. These are warm inbound leads that come in through Google and Meta Ads — your job is to reach out, qualify them, and schedule a meeting with our sales team.
You will be the bridge between ambitious founders or investors and our team — guiding them through the first step of building or acquiring a scalable e‑commerce business.
Your Responsibilities- Call, email, and message leads who have opted in through our marketing funnels.
- Build rapport, explain what we do, and guide them toward the next step: a discovery meeting with our sales team.
- Clearly understand each lead’s background, goals, and capital readiness, and assess whether they’re a fit for our buy or build programs.
- Update and maintain accurate records in our CRM (Hubspot).
- Follow up consistently with undecided or unresponsive leads.
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to improve messaging and targeting based on real conversations.
- Act as the human connection between automated marketing and real business opportunity.
- Help our SDRs.
- 1+ years of experience in sales, customer outreach, or lead qualification — ideally in a high‑volume or fast‑paced role.
- Strong, clear English communication skills — both spoken and written.
- High emotional intelligence — able to build trust quickly and professionally over the phone or via message.
- Someone who’s confident asking questions and leading conversations.
- Comfortable working with a CRM and taking ownership of lead follow‑up and pipeline hygiene.
- Knowledge of e‑commerce or online business is a big plus (but not required).
- Self‑driven, hungry, and excited by the idea of helping entrepreneurs and investors buy or build successful e‑commerce businesses.
