Job Description

As Cohn Reznick grows, our career opportunities expand. Cohn Reznick is a top professional services firm that provides advisory, assurance, and tax solutions. We partner with Nexia and serve organizations worldwide.

The Private Equity Client Relationship Executive (CRE) is a Director-level sales executive responsible for enterprise-level target acquisition, multi-year revenue strategy, and orchestration of complex, multi-service pursuits. The CRE partners with Sales Leadership, Practice Leaders, Office Managing Partners, Inside Sales, Marketing, and delivery teams to drive sustained growth and deepen executive relationships across the firm.

This position is hybrid: professionals are expected to collaborate in person approximately three days each week, coordinating in-office presence with team needs.

YOUR TEAM

As part of a structured, team-based sales model, you will work within the Private Equity practice. You will support local client and prospect activity for a designated geography, collaborating closely with the Office Managing Partner, other Client Relationship Executives, Sales Leadership, and local industry group leaders. You may mentor other sales professionals and represent Cohn Reznick externally.

WHY COHNREZNICK?

Our mission is to create opportunity, value, and trust for clients, people, and communities. We balance work with life, offering a robust Total Rewards package—including generous PTO, flexible work, expanded parental leave, learning & development, and paid volunteer time.

YOUR ROLE

The CRE is accountable for driving the firm’s largest and most complex growth opportunities. The focus is on top-tier client acquisition and enterprise pursuit execution, rather than ongoing account management.

RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Manage a portfolio of enterprise-level targets and the firm’s most complex, high-value pursuits
  • Own and execute multi-year business plans tied to defined revenue goals
  • Architect and optimize target list ecosystems to support firmwide growth
  • Build, scale, and manage sophisticated Centers of Influence (COIs) across regions and industries
  • Drive cross-firm collaboration to deliver integrated, multi-service solutions
  • Support complex negotiations and deal structuring with senior executives
  • Serve as trusted advisor to C-Suite and board-level target and client contacts
  • Mentor and coach Senior Manager and Manager-level CREs; support succession and growth planning discussions
  • Ensure strong pipeline coverage, forecasting accuracy, and CRM discipline at scale
  • Represent the firm externally at industry events, conferences, and executive forums
REVENUE ACCOUNTABILITY
  • Highest revenue target levels within the CRE role structure
  • Pipeline coverage typically 3× revenue target
  • Consistent quota achievement or over-achievement for 3+ years
YOUR EXPERIENCE The successful candidate will have:
  • 13+ years of experience in sales, client leadership, or professional services roles
  • Experience serving private equity clients at the fund and portfolio company level
  • Proven success leading enterprise-level pursuits and expanding complex client relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-service expansion and long-term value creation
  • Sustained history of achieving or exceeding revenue targets
  • Executive presence with ability to influence C-Suite and board level executives
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional, multi-service teams
  • Advanced commercial, financial, and negotiation acumen
  • Experience mentoring senior sales professionals and developing future leaders
  • Expert proficiency with CRM systems and forecasting disciplines (Dynamics or Salesforce preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced or industry-specific education preferred
TOOLS & SYSTEMS
  • CRM platforms (Dynamics or Salesforce)
  • Sales intelligence and research tools (Sales Intel, Introhive, Bombora, Linked In Sales Navigator)
  • Power BI dashboards (basic to intermediate)
  • Marketing and proposal tools
