Under the direction of the Cosmetics Selling Manager, the Beauty Advisor will provide outstanding customer service, build individual and vendor line sales volumes, establish and maintain customer relationships, and work effectively with team members to grow new Saks accounts. The Beauty Advisor will also focus on in‑house training programs, pre‑booked facial consultation events, and maintain a properly merchandised counter while proficiently closing retail sales.

The role also requires driving independent business through Saks’ clienteling system.

• Model all Saks Fifth Avenue Principles (Greet, Relate, Exceed, Attend, & Thank)
• Achieve and exceed individual and vendor line sales goals, event sales goals, and department daily/monthly sales goals.
• Maintain a high level of customer service by creating and developing excellent customer relationships as the brand expert and department representative.
• Maintain a positive image as a liaison between Saks Fifth Avenue and the designated Account Executive.
• Utilize Saks Fifth Avenue’s online clienteling resource tool to record and maintain client information and preferences to drive your business.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience from approach, to application, to closing the sale and following up with the customer.
• Maintain counter standards by ensuring a clean, tidy, and welcoming selling area.

• Minimum one year of retail experience, preferably in a customer‑focused cosmetics environment.
• Demonstrated successful sales experience exceeding quota.
• Strong ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment that requires high multitasking with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with online clienteling tools and proprietary Saks Fifth Avenue software.
• Attention to detail, initiative, and a positive working attitude.
• Ability to work well with others and independently to drive a successful business.
• Sound business judgment and organizational ability.
• Professional makeup and treatment consultation and application skills.

Salary Range: $19.16 - $23.95 per hour. Compensation varies by geographic location; actual starting pay will be determined based on work location, experience, and other job‑related factors.
