The Business Consultant is responsible for generating new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, channel partnerships, and self‑sourced leads. This role owns the full sales cycle—from identifying prospects and building relationships with decision-makers to negotiating contracts, closing deals, and supporting implementation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and close new business opportunities within an assigned territory.
- Execute proactive prospecting strategies to build a strong sales pipeline.
- Conduct client needs assessments and recommend tailored solutions.
- Negotiate pricing, scope of services, and client agreements.
- Manage opportunities and sales activities within Salesforce CRM.
- Maintain accurate forecasts and consistently achieve sales goals.
- Partner with implementation teams to ensure a smooth client onboarding experience.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver executive‑level presentations and proposals.
- Travel as needed for client meetings, conferences, and company events.
- 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or consultative selling preferred.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed revenue and activity goals.
- Strong prospecting, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
- Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business productivity tools.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
