Overview

The Specialty Sales Consultant Neuroscience is responsible for direct promotion of products in the Sleep Business Unit and the management of relationships with therapeutic specialists.
Responsibilities- Educate physicians and other health care professionals about Jazz Pharmaceuticals products and approved indications.
- Achieve individual sales goals and Key Performance Indicators.
- Organize and facilitate meetings for exchange of medical and product information in line with company policies, regulatory and legal requirements.
- Analyze business in the designated territory to understand prescribing patterns and trends.
- Utilize all available resources to educate and influence HCP and staff on products.
- Assist offices with navigating prescription flow from REMS forms to insurance criteria to patient receipt of product.
- Prepare and execute a business and territory tactical plan, including cross‑functional partner collaboration.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with physicians and other health care professionals.
- Work with cross‑functional partners such as MSL, Managed Market, Access and Reimbursement teams to meet physician, HCP and patient needs.
- Present a positive and professional image of Jazz Pharmaceuticals and ensure activities align with ethical pharmaceutical marketing policies.
- Comply with all legal/regulatory guidelines (FDA, FDC Act, PDM Act, Pharma Code, OIG, state regulations).
- Perform all activities within allocated budget and report timely.
- Minimum of five years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
- At least two years of specialist sales experience (neurologists, pulmonologists, psychiatrists, or sleep specialists).
- Must be bi‑lingual in English/Spanish.
- Current relationships with hospitals, sleep labs, neurologists, pulmonologists and sleep specialists preferred.
- Hospital/Account based experience and closed access account navigation preferred.
- Sleep and Central Nervous System therapeutic sales experience preferred.
- Specialty sales and/or orphan/rare disease therapeutic sales experience a benefit.
- REMS/hub or central pharmacy experience helpful.
- Buy and Bill experience preferred/helpful.
- Four‑year college or university degree required.
- Post‑graduate business school study or training preferred.
- Strong knowledge of product(s), competitor product(s) and applicable disease states desired.
- Strong understanding of payer landscape and managed care criteria for high‑value specialty product desired.
- Experience in planning and execution of launch and push/pull strategies for new products in live or virtual settings.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, planning and organizational skills required.
- Self‑motivation and ability to excel in a team environment.
- Frequent travel between meeting sites, including extended drive times, flights and overnight stays.
- Frequent operation of iPad, computer, printer, telephone and other office machinery.
- Frequent carrying of literature, food or other materials to support offices during sales calls.
- Frequent interactions with external contacts in office environments with limited exposure to excessive noise, dust, fumes, vibrations or temperature changes.
- Frequent use of computer, laptop or tablet in live and virtual interactions.
- Work schedule may include hours outside normal work hours to meet business demands.
- Frequent public contact requiring appropriate business apparel and PPE.
